Habit tracking

I mentioned my sort of bullet journal when I posted about my pen holder. I also use one page every month as a habit tracker.

A 'bad' month for the habit tracker

That’s my tracker from September. The graph is my daily step count, and the columns on the left are for:

  • (at least) 20 minutes of continuous exercise
  • (at least) 5,000 steps.
  • drawing
  • (at least) 1 Duolingo language lesson
  • bass practice
  • any washing I do.

(The washing is curiosity, not a habit as such. I was just interested to see how much laundry I do!)

September felt like a bit of a disaster, habits-wise. I had a work meetup for 6 days, and then I caught a pretty bad cold. And yes, the columns are not as full as normal. The average step count is a little down, especially given the high start to the month. But overall? That still looks like more ticks than gaps to me.

That’s the value of having it all on a single page like this. Seeing you’re still doing ok when you feel like it’s all going wrong. I don’t think I need any more habits though!
