Bit of housekeeping: I have added Akismet to catch spam comments, which is working pretty well. Hopefully it doesn’t make commenting onerous – but I really don’t get all that many comments. I’m kind of loving the spam comments though. I think one of my favourites so far is ‘This blog was… how do I say it? Relevant!!’ – I mean, gosh. The flattery. Fun practicing my Russian too.

I’ve been resizing tshirts again. Well, one. A couple of years ago I bought a large tshirt from Timberland for somewhere around $8 to sleep in in winter. It (accidentally) matched a pair of pj bottoms that my Dad had deemed to cheap to leave behind and given to me when they didn’t fit him.

Oversize nightwear

Well, I’ve worn it for a couple of winters, and I finally got fed up of it being quite so oversized. So I did my ‘normal’, and chopped the arms off and up the side seams before repinning it and restitching the seams.

Fitted nightwear

I did take a little of the bagginess out of the sleeves, but I didn’t take it all the way down to the cuffs. The cuffs are nicely made so I didn’t want to take them apart. I also made the top shorter with a bit of a curved hem. Probably could have left it an inch longer, which I keep doing at the moment. Tricky to judge.

There are a couple of other things I have in mind for this top, but I’m not sure I’ll get around to it. This is a good start though!
