So, I changed the blog a bit. New year new me or something.
(And yes, I did google how to spell zhuzh. Not convinced, but it makes the right sound in my head so it’ll do!)
The blog’s been on Squarespace for a while, and I’ve been meaning to shift it to something more clean and modern, but it turned out that my site was on Squarespace 5 and updating it to latest wasn’t a click job… yada yada yada.
Besides, I’m a professional web developer. I should probably be managing my own damn blog.
This is therefore a bog standard WordPress install, with one of the default themes. I’m a backend dev! I can style some stuff, but honestly, if it ain’t broke why reinvent it?
I have fixed the ssl security thing, so we’re now on https and nobody should be seeing the ‘not secure’ thing in the address bar. And I fixed the www/no www thing too. There’s even a redirect to point the old urls to the new, on the off chance anyone has bookmarks.
I may tweak things as we go, you never know. There are some housekeeping bits I’d like to do (hello, metadata…). We’ll see how many years it takes me to get around to that then!
