We went to Cricket Week last week, and it was lovely as usual. Not too hot, just a bit of rain, more wind than usual maybe, but the tent coped. Always good to catch up with old friends too.
In addition to the cricket (which I avoid these days – who needs the bruises?!), this year a group of the more musical participants put together a band. I didn’t join, because flute and sax are a Bit Much in small spaces and I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Which was fine, but there was a bass being played, and it looked my kind of back-of-the-band thing, and although I’ve never had much success with guitar-shaped instruments… Well…
Guess I’ll be working out how to play this one!
