This is a really late post! We went to Barcelona for my birthday, back in November, and it’s taken me this long to… um. Not sure, honestly. Upload the photos? I like them in Flickr, but my phone auto-uploads them to Google Photos and then we can share the album and both upload, so there’s that. I guess I could just start linking there. Anyway. They’re all in an album now.
It was beautiful. The weather was mostly sunny, the temperature was high teens, which was perfect for spending a lot of time walking around a city. We also had a 5 day metro ticket, so we could walk and ride. I loved it.
My birthday was pretty busy, with a walk down La Rambla first thing, a trip to the zoo, and then, amazingly, we found out the night before that Larkin Poe were performing about 1km from our hotel. So I got a gig in on my birthday! I even bought my first band t-shirt for some time.
All round, an excellent trip, and I would definitely recommend Barcelona in November. Hardly any crowds, weather was perfect, cheap flights, what’s not to like?! Our birthday trips seem to be quite well timed!
Back to the photo question, I’ve actually started making photo books for our trips away. I like coming across the physical photos, and being able to spend 10 minutes poring over the pictures. So we now have a photo book from Malta and one from Barcelona. I’m thinking of doing a combined retrospective one for our trips to Florida next.
