Inktober Day 31: Award
Well. Made it! I think this one does look better inked, and who doesn’t love a gold star?! I kept the rhythm this year, and the planning definitely helped. There was only one that I rethought, and I do feel like I had stronger compositions across the board this year. It’s still a fair chunk…

Final prep
The last Inktober prompt is prepped and ready for inking. Huzzah! I’m not sure this is my strongest composition. I got a bit blasé about it, and it looked better at the small size. We’ll see. Inking has helped everything else!

Inktober Day 29: Lesson
Well, killing a plant is kind of a lesson, right? I couldn’t decide whether to put anything in the window. The light coming in mostly whites out photos, so I haven’t. But it looks kind of blank without it. Not sure. Just one more Inktober image to go.

Learning From Mistakes
Two more pictures to do. Prepping my dead houseplant for tomorrow. I had a day off today, to recover from the golf weekend (where I do not golf, but socialising is knackering). I’ve learnt that I’m better off taking an extra day! And yet I still left drawing until late.

Inktober Day 27: Onion
I went with the family portrait. I would have quite liked to put another flower in, but ran out of time. As a bonus, we were away for a golf trip. I was waiting for the golfers to come back in, so I did a picture of the wing of the hotel that I could…

Inktober Day 25: Inferno
I actually really like how this turned out. Simple, but hopefully effective! If I didn’t have a concert later I’d say this song will be stuck in my head all day, but I’m pretty sure excerpts from Wicked will be taking its place shortly.

Inktober Day 23: Firefly
I was aiming for a textbook style of illustration here, but it got a bit scratchy. Not sure I quite got the look I was going for. Still, it is a firefly.
-

Bug prep
All laid out for tomorrow’s inking. I’m not sure the bug I’m drawing from died well! Whatever that might look like for a beetle with a glowing butt. (I’m not using bug correctly here, I think. Oh well!) I truly have no idea how people do every day of Inktober. I prepped better than ever…

Inktober Day 21: Blast
I did regret the sky, but I wanted it dark. I like the effect overall. Its definitely better than my other idea.
-

A small deviation
Ive deviated from my plan. I went back and I just… Didn’t like it. It was an object, and that’s one of my rules. Clarkie made an off-the-cuff suggestion, and it’s much better. So this gets inked tomorrow.

Inktober Day 19: Arctic
A mummy bear and her cubs. White bears on a white background, so I tried to keep the inking light too. I think it works.
